Official 2014 IHSA National Horse Show Logo Released! Acclaimed Equestrian Artist Judy Goldthwait Returns to Design 41st IHSA National Horse Show Poster and Program Cover

“Proceeds,” Goldthwait said,”from sales of IHSA National Horse Show posters goes to IHSA. It's a wonderful organization, full of wonderful people like Naomi (Blumenthal, IHSA Board and Show Committee member) who appreciate how a uniquely commissioned piece of art lends to creating a special memory around a title event.”

Goldthwait is also the creator of the 2014 IHSA National Horse Show's official logo, inspired by her artwork used for the 2013 IHSA Nationals to render a crisp, clean design that equitably denotes the intercollegiate focus on hunter seat and western horsemanship/reining disciplines. She graduated Cazenovia College in 1998 with a BFA in Commercial Illustration. Ever since, she has been a respected artist in the equine field. By specializing in equine art and pet portraiture, she has found a way to make a living by painting what she knows best. Inspiration for her paintings often derives from pictures she has taken at horse shows or other events; most of her work is by private commission. She lives in Central New York with her husband Andy and daughter Ansleigh.

A valued illustrator of posters and designer of promotional materials for the IHSA and Intercollegiate Dressage Nationals, New England Quarter Horse Association and New England Equitation Championships, in 2002, she was commissioned to paint two "Horses on Parade" models still on display in Syracuse, and her works have been exhibited all over the country, with clients in Canada, England, Holland and France.

About IHSA

IHSA promotes competition for riders of all skill levels, who compete individually and as teams at regional and national levels, based on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level.

The IHSA National Horse Show, May 1-4, in Harrisburg, PA, presents 34 title classes and hosts over 450 riders that have progressed through Regional and Zone qualifiers to earn the privilege of riding for their school. Information and archives including last year's historic tie in the Collegiate Cup between hunter seat teams St. Lawrence University and Skidmore College, and AQHA Trophy team win for West Texas A&M University, are available at www.ihsainc.com.
